It will happen.  You start logging a new trip, and you forget to stop logging.

If this happens, then Learners Log will display a notification of the following form:

Trip started at 4:57 PM has not been active since 5:20 PM.

The notification will be displayed on the home screen if the phone is currently locked.

If you have an iWatch, then the notification will be displayed on the watch.
